[20:16:56] Can I use ledger with NAV ? [20:17:46] Yes. You can install the app from the loader app we developed in house. [20:18:08] OK, where can I find that ? [20:19:04] http://navcash.nav.community/ [20:19:30] Here is an article for it https://medium.com/@NAVCoin/navcoin-the-ultimate-guide-to-staking-its-never-been-so-easy-c0ef2f9983c8?source=friends_link&sk=1d97b4e7593be9db39772919e537ab2b [20:28:35] Getting closer. D/L and installed NavLedgerLoader.deb Ledger Live works. But : $ /opt/NavLedgerLoader/NavLedgerLoader Traceback (most recent call last): File "main.py", line 1, in ImportError: No module named 'ledgerblue' [7575] Failed to execute script main [20:29:20] when did you see that error? [20:29:27] during the instllation of ledger app? [20:30:16] No, I did dpkg -i NavLedgerLoader.deb and then entered /opt/NavLedgerLoader/NavLedgerLoader on the commandline. [20:31:05] I also tried the menu. NavLedgerLoader is there but does absolutely nothing. Probably also missing "ledgerblue" [20:31:56] Hmm. I've only tested windows side of the installation. I think @aguycalled would be better at answering these questions. [20:38:49] i may have some time to test it later today but can't say for sure [20:40:14] Dpwnloaded for windows. It wants me to allow "unsafe manager". But my ledger Nano X does not have that. 😐 [20:41:49] Maybe Nano S does, but I have Nano X [20:42:49] oh intersting, i haven't tested it on nano x, what happens if you try to install it? for nano s it just shows a warning on unsafe app but you can still move forward [20:42:59] i assumed that would be the case for nano x as well [20:43:46] it says "Something went wrong, Error while writing" [20:46:16] Also I can go to dashboard on the ledger and press the right button as instructed but there is no "unsafe manager" [20:48:45] i don't have a ledger x to test at the moment. i thought they would behave similarly but I guess that's not the case [20:57:10] Ok, I guess I will check on NavCoin again in a while :-) One suggestion: magnumwallet has navcoin-staking on its dashboard, BIG. So they actually advertise NavCoin. But I tried it and now I have no idea how to get to my staked coins (we discussed that earlier). That IMHO makes kind of a bad and confusing impression for both Navcoin and . I would advise that you have a look at how magnumwallet handles NAV and let them know that [20:57:11] something is wrong. [20:58:10] ... bad and confusing impression for both Navcoin and Magnumwallett ... [21:02:36] FYI : I made a really small stake (0,04 NAV). But that is certainly no reason for any wrong balances and quite certainly I will not stake any significant amount as long as I cannot access my coins after staking. Also NavCash did not help. (Even though it is a sibling of electrum which I consider the greatest wallet ever) [21:10:16] I would be interested to hear of any progress. Feel free to send me an email to stn021 AT gmail.com 🙂 [21:12:42] gotcha, thanks for the feedback. i agree with you. i tried out magnum wallet 6 months ago and it was working flawlessly. I noticed that the private key they exported is only the receive address but internally they used multiple addresses to store the coins. I 'll contact them to talk about that.
